This journal is for everyone. It started as my personal account of the pain and heartache I suffered after my wife, Kimiko died. Then as I was visiting a friend in hospice care, I heard so many people in dispair as the death of their loved ones approached. I wondered then, if my journey might help them overcome their grief. With that thought in mind, that my journey might help someone else, I scaled back certain references in my journal to make it a compatible read for all ages. The journal contains my 145 letters as I wrote them on the day I wrote them. It was my way of communicating with my beloved wife. The written word was my way of connecting to my wife in the afterlife. Over time, although I can tear up at a memory, I can honestly say the brutal sadness has not haunted me as it once did. If you need a way to overcome your loss, writing might help you as it did me. I hope so.
